🚔🤝 CIT-NJ Partners for Officer Communication & Community Safety

CIT-NJ is proud to collaborate with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Public Library to offer a specialized one-day training for law enforcement professionals.

This hands-on training will equip officers with practical American Sign Language (ASL) skills to effectively communicate with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Clear communication in the field enhances officer safety, supports de-escalation, and strengthens community trust.
