Bergen County CIT Unity in the Community Event

The Crisis Intervention Team of New Jersey (CIT-NJ) will be hosting a Unity in the Community Event in Bergen County New Jersey. The event will be held on Sunday, June 30th, 2019 at the Overpeck County Park, There will be entertainment, demonstrations, information and a cook-off by local fire departments (events for kids, local businesses, first responders, etc.)

We are inviting everyone to attend the event and enjoy the activities while bringing the community together.

To date, Bergen County CIT has trained more than 300 Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders and Mental Health professionals and are scheduled to train an additional 100 individuals this year. Bergen County CIT will also be offering 4 one day trainings for at least 150 first responders and mental health professionals on various topics to better assist individuals who may be experiencing a mental health crisis in the community.

Bergen County is also asking for their community’s support to make this event a huge success. Help the community fill a truck with items for the community food banks,. Bring your donations to help others! No contribution is too small.
