After this course you will have a better understanding of handling crisis situations and will be able to decipher a call and the caller’s needs by knowing the correct questions to ask and pass on to first responders. \n Tele-Communicators Will: \n Be introduced to the CIT-NJ Program \nLearn about Mental Illness \nRecognize Mental health Crisis \nLearn how to de-escalate callers \nLearn how to obtain accurate information \nLearn State/County Mental Health Resources \nUnderstand auditory hallucinations \nDemonstrate training via Scenario Based Training \nWill receive 8 CTE’s for attending. \nIf you need to pay via purchase order just register your student and then email CIT-NJ Director Edward Dobleman to setup Purchase Order paperwork. \nedobleman@cit-nj.org
